Zania A. Parker M.D.
Zania A. Parker M.D. is President/CEO of Phoenix Women’s Health LLC, and has forged a new dimension for the practice. She received her Medical Degree from Meharry Medical College, and went on to complete her Residency in the area of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA, and The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Manhattan, New York. She went on to become the Medical Director of Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital (now Encompass Health) in Gadsden, AL, a 44-bed Acute Rehabilitation Center. Under her outstanding leadership, the JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization) accreditation for this facility, was renewed for an additional 3 years.
As an entrepreneur, Dr. Parker improves the overall quality of life of patients she treats in this practice. She has also been certified to perform aesthetic procedures to treat ingrown hairs, excessive hair growth, pseudofolliculitis barbae, cystic acne, skin laxity, cellulite, spider veins, and stretch marks. Dr. Parker and her husband, Harold C. Parker Sr., share a blended family of six wonderful children. She is an avid reader who enjoys singing and spending time with family and friends.
Hugh W. Bailey M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Hugh W. Bailey M.D. graduated from Meharry Medical College and has been practicing medicine since 1981. His residency was performed at Orlando Regional Medical Center, and he obtained his fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at The Univ. of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL, and The Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. He also served as the Director of the Maternal Fetal Medicine Division at Providence Hospital in Washington, DC, before relocating his family to Huntsville, AL. Dr. Bailey has served the Huntsville area, and surrounding communities since 1992, and this gifted physician is well known as the first physician formally trained in high risk obstetrics, to establish a practice in North Alabama. His pioneering efforts made the transport of women with complicated pregnancies, from the outlying areas in North Alabama to Huntsville Hospital, a reality.
Dr. Bailey has many certifications includes: Pelvic Reconstruction, Urogynecology, Endovenous Laser Therapy, Advanced Cosmetic Gynecology, and Liposuction. He is a diplomate (Board Certified) in OBGYN, a fellow of The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a diplomat of Anti-Aging, Functional and Regenerative Medicine. Dr Bailey’s thoughtful, holistic, and integrative approach to management of women’s issues, is superb, and puts his patients at ease. He lives with his wife, Zetta, has 3 adult children, and 4 grandchildren. He enjoys singing, playing the piano, and spending time with his family.
Shequita Bridgeforth, WHNP
Shequita received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Calhoun Community College. She then obtained her Bachelors of Nursing and Masters of Nursing from the University of South Alabama, in Mobile. She is a Board certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
Shequita has worked in obstetrics and gynecology for over 11 years, and is committed to providing care for women throughout their lifespan. She is dedicated to patient centered care and ensuring patients are fully informed of all their healthcare options. She is particularly interested in providing patient education during prenatal and postnatal care.
Shequita is the mother of a young daughter, who is the love of her life. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and watching football.
